OO101 Part 3 Presentation

May 14, 2009

I'm doing a series of presentations on Object Orientated Programming (OOP) for Devon CFUG. This is the third instalment where we actually get to build something! Whilst I'm not an OOP master hopefully the presentation will be useful to someone.

I've decided that a shopping cart is a suitable real world application to develop, so that's what I'm building. I also wanted to tackle the "DAO and a Gateway" pattern which Sean Corfield wrote about recently in his post The DAO and Gateway separation in CFML is nonsense

The slides and code (along with part 1 & 2) are available in the presentations section of my website at:

I welcome any feedback that anyone has. Thanks to Todd Sharp for the excellent SlideSix, Sean Corfield for putting my mind to rest and to James Buckingham for spotting all the spelling mistakes!
